In order to support the integration process of Third Country Nationals (TCNs) in the local community, Local Authorities in Limassol take action to improve social inclusion, cohesion and socialisation and prevent social exclusion and discrimination.

For the first time this year, the project addresses Third Country Nationals (TCNs) outside the EU, as well as economic immigrants who live and work legally in Cyprus and people who live in Cyprus with refugee status or subsidiary protection, temporary protection or asylum seekers and people resettled or relocated or transported from another EU member state.

The project is co-funded by the Asylum Migration and Integration Fund (90%) and the Republic of Cyprus (10%) with a budget of €170,000 and an implementation period until January 2017.
The projects of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund aim to support the Common European Asylum System, to strengthen the capacity to host asylum seekers, to offer all necessary services concerning asylum procedures, to integrate Third Country Nationals into the local society with the help of local authorities / NGOs / government agencies / other social partners, to increase the assisted voluntary returns and to promote cooperation with the other Member States as well as strengthen the administrative capacity of Cyprus to successfully manage all areas associated with immigration.
